Slime is always a classroom favorite, but it can get messy. Over time, I have learned that the best way to make slime in the classroom is in groups with only three ingredients:
What You’ll Need per Group:
-small bowl
-slime ingredients: 8oz. Elmer’s glue, 1 tablespoon baking soda, 1 tablespoon contact solution (activator)
-food coloring
-paper towels
-mixing sticks
-plastic baggies
To begin, I set each group up with the ingredients listed above. I instruct them to mix the slime ingredients together and when they have a base, I add the food coloring because it can make a huge mess if not monitored closely.
Once the slime reaches the desired color and consistency, I have the students divide it up among the group and take it home in plastic baggies.
