Welcome to A Mindful Akashian. Since I returned to the classroom after the 2020 pandemic, I have been incorporating mindfulness activities into my grade 11 ELA classroom. I have received a lot valuable feedback from students over the years so I decided to create a place where I could collect ideas to share with other educators. Recent research has highlighted the effect mindfulness has in improving the mental health of adolescents. I am committed to doing my part to combat the increase of stress & anxiety I have seen in my students with the scientifically proven method of mindfulness. Won’t you join me?
