Mindfulness Monday: Painted Leaves

Here is a fun activity to celebrate the upcoming transition from fall to winter. I had students paint leaves as an activty to remind them of the beauty of nature.

Here’s what you’ll need:

-paper plates

-paint in a variety of colors

-Q-tips

-paper towels

My students’ desks are arranged in group so I gave each group a paper plate with small amounts of the paint on them, 6-8 Q-tips and paper towels. I instructed them to use the Q-tips to dab assorted colors of paint on the leaves which created a nice Mandala effect. They are now a lovely late autumn decoration for my classroom.
